UEFA Nations League Run-Up: Norway Beat Slovenia While the Czech Republic Earns First Points

Ole Selnaes scored the only one goal for Norway to beat Slovenia with the score 1-0 in Group 3 in League C and become a member of Bulgaria at the top with six points. In other countries in the Nations League, a lowered head of compensation, Patrik Schick, Czech Republic gave a 2-1 victory over neighbor Slovakia and served the visitors’ side their first point in the Nations League competition.

All the goals came after an equal opening, where Slovakia controlled possession, but the checkers had the best chance when Matej Vydra’s volley from the edge of the box was cleared in the post in the ninth minute. League B Group 1 match also marked former national team assistant Jaroslav Silhavy’s first game in charge of the Czech side since replacing Karel Jarolim after the team’s 5-1 defeat to Russia in a friendship in September.

In Group 1 in League D, Georgia scored three wins in three by turning Andorra 3-0 to dominate positions by nine points. Andorra, Latvia, and Kazakhstan scored all two points after Latvia and Italy scored 1-1 on Saturday. The match was a spectacular one and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the game.
